MADISON, WISC. - The Madison College women's soccer team rebounded from a scoreless 90 minutes on Wednesday to post a resounding 8-0 victory over Kankakee Community College in a Region 4 match Saturday at Irwin A. & Robert D. Maddie Ludwig was redirected off the foot of second year transfer
Amalia Molgard and into the net. The scoring strike is Molgard's eighth, which leads the team. The WolfPack added a pair of unassisted goals to push the differential to 3-0 before halftime. Freshman
Emlyn Knutson intercepted a goal kick as the clocked moved into the 22', and after navigating around a defender, ripped a shot just under the crossbar for the first goal of the season for the Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, native. Right before halftime, Ludwig, a forward from Washburn, Wisconsin, copied Knutson with an intercepted goal kick and immediately buried a shot past the goalkeeper for her third goal this season.
In the second half, Madison College tallied four goals in a four minute span to bust the game open en route to a mercy rule win at the 70'. Working the ball around in the 50', Madison College eventually put it at the feet of freshman
Aubrey Reesman, who began to attack on the left side of the penalty area. The native of Burlington, Wisconsin, eventually spun around to find Adalin wide open. The midfielder collected the pass, played it a few feet to her right, and chipped a shot near the far post and into the goal. Back on the attack in the 51', Ludwig sent a pass towards the same post, resulting in a foot race between Molgard and a Kankakee Community College (4-4-2) defender, who kicked it in for an own goal.

Fay den Hoed assist a goal by sophomore
Zoey Lovejoy, whose shot snuck between the KCC 'keeper and the post as she pulled her hands back believing the shot was heading out of play. The scoring strike from outside the penalty area on the right side is the first this season for Lovejoy and the second of her career. Den Hoed picked up another assist as Adalin recorded her second goal in the 53' to make it 7-0. The long pass from 35 yards out was collected by Adalin in the half circle, and after battling with a defender, unleashed a ball off her left boot that caught the goalkeeper napping and found the back of the net. The goal was her third this season and marked her first career multi-goal performance.
The game's final goal came in the 66' when Ludwig pick up a loose ball on the defensive end and outran several Cavaliers to attempt a shot on goal. It was denied by the 'keeper, but sophomore
Kylie Hellenbrand was there to clean up the rebound with her second goal of the season.
Madison College finished with a 23-3 advantage in total shots and a 17-2 edge in shots on goal. Freshman
Makenzie Roman made two saves for the WolfPack before fellow first year
Markiya Uherka played the final 16 minutes for the combined clean sheet.
Adalin, a native of Madison, Wisconsin, finished with two goals off three shots on goal. Molgard, a native of Denmark, was tops with six shots and five shots on goal.
