ROCKFORD, ILL. - The Madison College men's soccer team extended their current win streak to four straight and unbeaten streak to six consecutive with a 4-0 win over Rock Valley College in a Region 4 clash on Wednesday. Sophomore
Josh Kiltz led the way with his first career hat trick to propel the #9-ranked WolfPack to a 4-0-2 mark in region play. The win gives Madison College a 16-6-2 mark with six wins and a draw over the last seven get-togethers with the Golden Eagles.
Kiltz, a native of Sun Prairie, opened his career night with an unassisted goal in the 16' to put the WolfPack ahead early. Nearly 20 minutes later, the midfielder/forward converted an assist from
Dylan Sutton with a scoring strike to give the Pack a 2-0 lead.
Before halftime, the visitors put Rock Valley College (9-4-1) in a deeper hole when Sutton was able to find the back of the net with a boot past the goalkeeper to extend the lead to three goals. Sutton, a forward from Milton Keynes, England, boasts five goals on the year. Fellow first year
Isaac Diaz earned an assist on the play.
The differential remained 3-0 until the match's final minute when Kiltz completed the hat trick with another unassisted goal. The three goals doubles his season total to six and ties him with
Gio Diaz for the team lead.
Freshman goalkeeper
Thomas Randall is credited with the shutout win, thanks to the work of the Madison College defenders coming through with a team save on the only Rock Valley shot on goal in the 9'. The WolfPack played to a 10-2 lead in total shots and a 5-1 differential in shots on goal. Randall finished without a save.
