MADISON, WISC. -
Josh Kiltz and the Madison College men's soccer team are red hot as the 2026 season moves into the final two weeks of the regular season. Hours after earning
NJCAA Division II Player of the Week honors, the sophomore registered his second trick in the last three matches and led the #8-ranked WolfPack to a resounding 7-0 Region 4 win over the College of DuPage on Wednesday at Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Pitch-East. The win moves the Pack to 6-0-2 in the region with a scoring differential of 36-4 after their third consecutive shutout.
Madison College got out to a blistering start with a pair of goals in the 3' of the match. The first scoring strike came moments after Kiltz was denied by the College of DuPage (2-7-4) goalkeeper, but freshman
Bryan Diaz secured the rebound and found fellow first year
Kian Downey alone in front of the net for the goal. It's the fourth goal of the season for the London, England, native, with all four coming in the last six matches. Just 23 seconds later, the WolfPack was right back in the net for a 2-0 lead as a steal by
Caden Pullar-Newman eventually led to a give-and-go scenario between
Gio Diaz and Kiltz. The latter attempted a shot that was initially blocked by the GK, but stayed in play off Kiltz' body and allowed the former Sun Prairie West HS athlete to punch it in for his first goal of the match.
The differential reached 3-0 in the 24' as defender/midfielder
Chuck Frank placed a pass at the feet of
Dylan Sutton above the goalie box. Sutton controlled the ball, spun towards the goal, and booted a low kick into the net for his sixth goal this fall.
Kiltz put the game out of reach as he ended the first half and began the second half with two more goals for his second career hat trick. The 45' goal came via a free kick after Kiltz was knocked down outside the penalty area, and he then snuck a shot past the Chaparrals wall and the left post to beat the 'keeper. His final goal in the 54' began with the WolfPack controlling the ball after a COD goal kick, and with G. Diaz racing down the left side of the pitch, he located Kiltz in the penalty area and the team's leading goal scorer blasted a shot off the left post and into the goal. The midfielder/forward has 11 goals this season, including four multi-goal efforts, and has netted nine goals over a four-match scoring streak.
The WolfPack padded their lead with goals by Frank in the 63' and G. Diaz in the 83' to reach the seven-goal advantage. Frank's goal came after some incredible footwork and dribbling by freshman
Bryan Hernandez, eventually setting up Frank for an uncontested goal. The scoring strike is his second of the season and gives Hernandez two assists. The final tally came after the Pack again controlled the ball off a goal kick and Kiltz lead G. Diaz with a pass right up the middle, and the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, native, was able to kick it in with his left foot despite a pair of defenders on his sides and the goalkeeper charging at him. It's his seventh goal of the season, to go along with a team-leading eight assists. Kiltz' assist made it a career-best seven-point match, pushing his season total to 25.
The match was dominated by the WolfPack, with a 26-2 lead in total shots and a 16-2 margin in shots on goal.
Gio Diaz had a team-high six shots, while Kiltz led the team with four shots on goal and three scores. Sophomore goalkeeper
Caylen Coventry made two saves and earned a the shutout win for his second clean sheet of the season.
Madison College now boasts a 6-3-1 lead in the all-time series, with wins in five straight matches against the Chaps.
