ROCKFORD, ILL. - The Madison College women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the 2025 season on Wednesday, taking a 7-0 setback at #12-ranked Rock Valley College in a Region 4 contest. The result snaps a four-match win streak and a five-match unbeaten streak to open the season.
The two-time defending Region 4 champions scored the game's first goal in the 7', and then stunned the visiting WolfPack with three more goals over the next dozen minutes to take a 4-0 lead. Rock Valley College (8-0) tacked on two more goals before the first half came to an end for a 6-0 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, RVC put their seventh and final goal in net less than 15 minutes into the half.
Madison College generated just three total shots and put two on goal, with all coming in the second half. The Golden Eagles controlled the ball for most of the match and racked up 18 shots and ten shots on goal.

The decision gives RVC an 11-8-2 lead in the all-time series over the WolfPack.
