Sam Schultz racked up a career-high 17 kills, and fellow first year
Allie Andrews posted her fourth double-double of the season. The WolfPack is 13-0 all-time against the Muskies.
Madison College jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the opening set, and the run continued to grow into a 13-1 differential. Schultz recorded her seventh kill of the opening set and forced LU into a timeout with the score at 20-8. The WolfPack maintained their distance and won the set by a dozen. Set two was a different story, as the Madison College offense ran into some trouble with 14 attack errors and just eight kills as they hit -.158 and lost by five. Lakeland used a short 3-0 run to break a 14-14 tie, and despite narrowing the gap to one at 21-20, the Pack was unable to overcome the deficit.
In the third set, early bursts of three and four consecutive points led to a 12-5 advantage. The lead peaked at ten throughout the set, which finished at 25-15. Another quick start opened the fourth set as the Pack rattled off ten straight points to take an 11-2 lead, with Schultz and freshman
Makayla Dallas each recording three kills during that stretch. Dallas, a Valders, Wisconsin, native, continued to dominate in the set as she put together a personal 4-0 surge with three aces and a successful back row attack.
Ella Vosberg helped close out the match with four kills in the final set before Schultz secured the final point with a third touch dump that found the floor.
For the match, Madison College tallied 47 kills and a .106 attack percentage, led by 16 kills and a .357 efficiency in the fourth set. The WolfPack tied their season-high with 19 aces, to go along with one block, and 65 digs.
Schultz, a native of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, finished with 17 kills and hit at a .361 clip. Dallas finished with a dozen kills, led the team with a career-high six aces, and scooped up nine digs. Vosberg was the third player to reach double-digit kills as she reached ten to extend her streak of matches with that many or more to six straight and ten of the last 11 matches.
Andrews double-double was highlighted by 41 assists and 13 digs. The former Darlington HS athlete also had three kills and two aces. Libero
Avery Agnew, a Milton, Wisconsin, product, led the defense with 20 digs and added five aces, while defensive specialist
Cora Webster's ten digs accompanied her five aces.

Madison College (14-2) is on the road Friday for a pair of Region 4 matches at the South Suburban Triangular in South Holland, Illinois. The WolfPack open at 3:00 p.m. against Kankakee Community College (7-8) and are 3-4 all-time against the Cavaliers. They will follow with a 5:00 p.m. match against the host Bulldogs, whom they have beaten in all three prior meetings.
