ENID, OKLA. - Madison College put all phases of their game together Sunday night en route to an impressive 9-1 victory in eight innings over #4-seed Heartland Community College at the

David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
Madison College got the bats going right away with a single and double by Calico and Alonso, respectively.

Marschke, a left hander from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, struggled in the first inning, issuing three walks and allowing one hit; however, he and the WolfPack defense only surrendered one run on a bases loaded walk.

Jalen Gellings.
Howie Rickett crossed home to regain the two-run advantage.
The lead swelled to 6-1 in the fourth with four free passes and two hits. With the bases loaded and one out, Alonso hit an infield single to drive in
Sam Moses. A hit by pitch of Schau and a walk issued to
Nate Novinska both forced in runs to push the differential to five.
Marschke continued to work into the fifth inning before Steuber took over with two outs and two runners on. Despite a walk to fill the bases, the sophomore from Muskego, Wisconsin, induced an inning-ending grounder to get out of the jam.
Trace Kirchberg took over as the designated hitter, and came through with a run-scoring single in the seventh. The 7-1 lead grew to 9-1 in the eighth when a balk sent Calico in from third, and an error by the Hawks shortstop allowed Alonso to cap the scoring.
Alonso, a native of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, finished 3 for 5 with two runs scored and one run batted in. Calico was 2 for 4 hitting one spot ahead of Alonso in the lineup. The West Salem, Wisconsin, native scored a team-high three runs, marking his third game this season with three or more runs scored.
