MADISON, WISC. - The Madison College women's volleyball team hosted their second Madison College Tournament of the season on Friday and Saturday inside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium, and took full advantage of the home court with four wins, including three against Region 4 opponents, to extend their current win streak to a season-high 12 matches in a row. The #13-ranked WolfPack opened with a 3-1 win over Southeastern Community College before sweeping Highland Community College in three sets to close out the first day. Saturday's slate saw the Pack earn back-to-back 3-0 victories over Olive-Harvey College and Moraine Valley Community College.
Match #1 (Friday): #13 Madison College 3, Southeastern Community College 1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-15)
Southeastern Community College (24-18) broke a 16-16 tie in the opening set with a quick 4-0 run and was able to hold off the WolfPack to take a one-set-to-none lead; however, Madison College answered back to claim the next three sets. Tied at 5-5 early in set two, the Pack blitzed the Blackhawks with an 18-5 stretch that saw freshman
Makayla Dallas terminate five attacks.
Madison College steadily pulled away throughout the third set to take a 2-1 lead. In the fourth set, a series of SCC miscues allowed the home team to separate before first year middle blocker
Caylee Coggins went to work with two kills and a block over a five-point sequence as the WolfPack took full control.
For the match, Madison amassed 46 kills and a .199 attack percentage, highlighted by 15 kills and a .333 efficiency in set two. The WolfPack added 14 aces, five blocks, and 77 digs.
Coggins, a native of Columbia, Missouri, led the team with career-best 13 kills and hit an impressive .522 attack percentage. She also added three blocks and an ace. Dallas, an outside hitter from Valders, Wisconsin, pounded home 11 kills.
Freshman
Allie Andrews produced 42 assists and ten digs for ninth double-double. She added five kills and an ace.
Sam Schultz led the WolfPack service game with five aces, followed by four from
Cora Webster. Webster also pitched in with ten digs. Libero
Avery Agnew was tops in the category with 19, one better than Schultz with 18.
Friday's match was the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
Match #2 (Friday): #13 Madison College 3, Highland Community College 0 (32-30, 25-18, 25-17)
The opening set between the WolfPack and Highland Community College (26-12) proved to be the most exciting set of the entire tournament. The Cougars built a 16-11 lead midway through, but a 7-2 surge by Madison College evened the score at 18-18. Highland held set point at 24-23, but failed to capitalize with a hitting error. It would prove to be the first of five consecutive set points for HCC. Madison earned its first set point at 29-28 before back-to-back Highland points created their sixth set point. A hitting error and a Sam Schult ace returned set point to the WolfPack, who eventually won on a Cougars attack error.
The momentum from a set one win carried into the second set with an 8-0 opening run that included three more aces by Schultz. Despite Highland cutting the differential to three, the Pack held on for a seven-point win. In the third, the home team clung to an 18-17 lead when a Schultz kill ignited a 7-0 closing burst to earn the sweep. The final run also featured two more aces from the first year outside hitter.
Schultz, an Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, native, delivered a career performance, recording her eighth double-double of the season. She registered ten kills on a .529 attack percentage and a career-high 27 digs, while also establishing a new career-best with eight aces.
Ella Vosberg, a first year outside hitter from Cuba City, Wisconsin, tallied a team-high 16 kills and hit at a .364 clip.
Allie Andrews posted 44 assists, four kills, two blocks, and nine digs.
Avery Agnew also reached double-figures in digs with 11.
Collectively, the WolfPack racked up 46 kills and a .306 attack percentage, including a match-best 18 kills and .441 efficiency in the final set. They also had 11 aces, five blocks, and 62 digs.
Despite the win, Madison College still trails the all-time series with Highland Community College by a 19-27-1 margin.
Match #3 (Saturday): #13 Madison College 3, Olive-Harvey College 1 (25-11, 25-22, 25-18)
Day two's opener pit the WolfPack against Olive-Harvey College (15-15) for the first time ever. An early 4-0 run with two
Ella Vosberg kills sandwiched around an
Allie Andrews ace put Madison College up 8-4 and became part of a bigger 11-1 surge as the Pack seized control of the first set. They ended with a 9-3 closing push.
The Panthers challenged Madison College in the second set, building an 8-4 advantage, but the Pack quickly erased it consecutive kills and two OHC hitting errors. The score remained close at 19-18 in favor of the home team when
Makayla Dallas delivered a kill and freshman
Rowan Harder came through with an ace. A
Tricia Klum ace a few points later made it 23-20 before
Sam Schultz made it set point with a kill and Olive-Harvey ended the set on a hitting error.
Set three was also competitively played until the WolfPack slowly pulled away down the stretch as they turned an 16-14 edge into a seven-point win.
Madison College produced 33 kills, nine aces, two blocks, and 52 digs in the sweep.
A trio of players led the offensive attack as Vosberg, Dallas, and Schultz each had eight kills.
Allie Andrews was tops with 24 assists.
Avery Agnew reached 15 digs, while Dallas tracked down a dozen digs.
Cora Webster had three aces, followed by two each from Harder and Klum.
Match #4 (Saturday): #13 Madison College 3, Moraine Valley Community College 1 (25-16, 25-16, 25-15)
The tournament finale was an efficient sweep of Moraine Valley Community College (10-13) as the WolfPack averaged 16.0 kills per set and hit .297 or better in every set. They finished with 48 kills and a .333 efficiency, to go along with five aces, four blocks and 56 digs.
Leading 11-10 in the opening set, Madison College took advantage of a Cyclones service error and a
Caylee Coggins ace start a 14-6 surge to claim the set. The Pack hit repeat in set two, turning an 11-10 lead into another nine-point win.
Ella Vosberg came through with three kills and a block in that stretch. In the third set, the WolfPack rallied from an early 7-4 deficit with a 21-8 run that was capped by back-to-back aces from
Sam Schultz.
Vosberg totaled 16 kills and registered a .484 attack percentage en route to her 23rd match with double-digit kills and her 13th match with an efficiency at or better than .400. Coggins was also in double-figures with 11 kills on a .421 efficiency, to go along with a team-best two aces.
Allie Andrews, a first year setter and right side hitter from Darlington, Wisconsin, amassed 47 assists and 11 digs for her tenth double-double this season. She also added a team-high two blocks and three kills.
Freshman libero
Avery Agnew, a former Milton HS athlete, dug up 22 attacks by the Cyclones for her 30th match with ten or more digs.
Madison College trails the all-time series with MVCC by a 2-5 tally.

Madison College (29-4) will close out the 2025 regular season on Friday, October 31 with a Region 4 match against Black Hawk College (15-17). The two programs have met twice before, with the WolfPack going 2-0 in neutral site matches in 2017 and 2019. First serve inside
