MADISON, WISC. - A 0-0 draw with South Suburban College on Wednesday night at
Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Pitch-East marked the first non-victory of the season for the #15-ranked Madison College men's soccer team. The WolfPack dominated the ball for much of the match and freshman goalkeeper
Coltrane LoBreglio recorded his first career clean sheet. The Bulldogs still lead the all-time series by a 5-3-2 mark.
The first half saw both teams generate few offensive opportunities, starting with LoBreglio, an Oregon, Wisconsin, native, recording his only save of the game on a 16' shot on goal by South Suburban College (3-6-1). Meanwhile, the only Madison College shot on goal came five minutes later by
Dan Fox, only to be turned away.
The home team turned up the intensity in the second half, racking up an 11-1 differential in total shots and a 2-0 edge in shots on goal. Fox, a first year defender from Canberra, Australia, was denied again in the 60', and fellow first year
Josh Kiltz saw his potential go-ahead shot stopped by a Bulldogs defender.
Madison College appeared to score a potential game-winning goal in the 83'; however, it was overturned on an offside call.
The WolfPack was unable to capitalize on any of it's seven corner kicks, compared to just one for SSC.
