SUGAR GROVE, ILL. - The Madison College men's soccer team has not allowed a goal in each of its past three matches, resulting in a three-match win streak after claiming a 3-0 victory in a Region 4 contest against Waubonsee Community College on Saturday. Goalkeeper
Victor Dalum earned his second straight clean sheet, while a trio of players found the back of the net. The win also gives the Pack a narrow 6-5-2 lead in the all-time series with the Chiefs.
It took more than 15 minutes for either team to generate the first shot of the match, but when that moment finally arrived, Madison College took full advantage. Freshman João Forte tracked down a long, bouncing pass from midfielder
Bryan Garcia and used a quick header to gain a step on the nearest Waubonsee Community College (1-4) defender. Forte then kicked a low shot inside the right post to make it 1-0 in the 16'. It was the fifth goal of the season for the product of Eagle School in Richland Center, Wisconsin, tying him for the team lead.
Later in the first half, the WolfPack created a turnover near midfield and quickly moved the ball towards the goal, where first year forward
Hudson Nielsen converted a pass from second year
Carter Uhlmann in the 41' to make it a two-goal lead. Nielsen's scoring strike put him back in front on the team's scoring list with six goals.
Madison College added some more breathing room in the 68' with a three-on-two breakaway to resulted in
John Soberon-Chehade sending a lead feed to a wide open Garcia, who kicked it back against his momentum and into the goal for his first career goal. The successful kick came in the 18th collegiate game played for the Madison, Wisconsin, native.Â
For the match, the WolfPack created an 11-5 edge in total shots and a 7-3 lead in shots on goal. The visitors also held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks. Nielsen was the lone player with two shots on goal.
Dalum, a native of Odense, Denmark, was credited with three saves en route to the win.

Madison College (4-2-0) is off until the weekend when they head south for a Region 4 match with on Saturday, September 14. The all-time series with the Chiefs is even through a dozen matches, with both teams boasting five wins and two matches ending in draws. Waubonsee has won five of the last seven meetings.
