Anyone walking past or visiting the concession stand outside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium during the past few weeks has likely noticed a few changes and updates, and the Madison College Athletics Department invites you to a ceremonial unveiling of Big Dog Concessions on Tuesday, October 8. The ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. - attendees should plan to be there by 4:45 p.m. - in the concourse outside the gym. Director of Athletics
Jason Verhelst will be joined by Madison College Athletics Hall of Famer
Gary "Big Dog" Breneman as his 50 years of service to the college is recognized and celebrated.
The ceremony, which will feature the announcement of the Big Dog Meal and a commemorative plaque next to the concession stand, will last a 5-10 minutes, allowing plenty of time for WolfPack fans to enter the gym for the 5:30 p.m. start of the Madison College women's volleyball match against Kankakee Community College. The new Big Dog Meal will include a Big Dog's favorite concession items: a hot dog, popcorn, and a Mt. Dew for $5. Patrons are welcome to switch out the Mt. Dew for a different fountain drink. Additionally, for that night's volleyball match, hot dogs will be $.50 in honor of Big Dog's 50 years.
Commemorative Big Dog Outing t-shirts will be for sale in the concessions for $10... or get one for free with $50 donation to the
$50 for 50 Year Scholarship Drive.
