Nearly eight months after its premiere, the Madison College Athletic Department's video tribute "AHEAD OF THE PACK: A Title IX & Madison College Story" was named the top video feature in a national competition. The film, co-created by the department's Athletic Communications & Marketing Coordinator Adam Eichstedt and Madison College student Jeremy Van Mill, won first place as part of the 2022-23 Publications & Digital Design Contest among Two-Year Sports Information Directors of America, a member group of College Sports Communicators.

The winners were announced during a special virtual presentation on August 10, and the following CSC press release stated, "Madison College took home first place honors in the Video Feature category with their work from Adam Eichstedt and Jeremy Van Mill on their Title IX 50th Anniversary piece." 



The video pays homage to the many female coaches and student-athletes that paved the way for decades of competitive opportunity and success prior to and after the passing of Title IX in 1972. It was "dedicated to every advocate and proponent of female involvement in athletics". It was unveiled during a special Title IX Anniversary Celebration on January 24, 2023 during the men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Milwaukee Area Technical College.
