On Tuesday, the Madison College Athletic Department recognized the 50th anniversary of Title IX's passing in 1972 with a day-long celebration, highlighted by an eventful basketball doubleheader. With many former and current female student-athletes and coaches in attendance, the video "Ahead of the Pack: A Title IX & Madison College Story" (video above) was shown at halftime of the women's game. In addition, Madison College Hall of Famers JoAnn Walker and Ellen Becker were recognized as honorary captains for the women's game.

Following the showing of the video, which was "dedicated to every advocate and proponent of female involvement in athletics", all former and current female student-athletes and coaches were recognized and applauded for their commitment to women's athletics at Madison College and beyond.
During the evening's festivities, those in attendance were also able to peruse historical items such as old
