SIX-PEAT! Madison College wins sixth straight N4C title with defeat of Harper College

Sophomore Liz Foye produces second-career multi-goal performance in key WolfPack win

PALATINE, ILL. - A pair of goals from sophomore Liz Foye sent the Madison College women's soccer team past Harper College by a 2-1 tally Wednesday afternoon, It also propelled the WolfPack to their sixth consecutive North Central Community College Conference championship, a run that began in 2017 after head coach Matt Schwartz took over the year prior. Madison College earned a sweep of the regular season series with the Hawks after also netting a 2-1 overtime win in September, and improve their lead in the head-to-head series by a 12-4-1 record.

Foye, a third year midfielder, entered the match with just two goals on the season. She tallied her third less than ten minutes into the action with a scoring strike off a pass from freshman Madison Johnson. The 10' goal gave the visiting WolfPack an early lead, which remained at a single goal until Harper College (1-4-1, 1-3) fired the equalizer past goalkeeper Morgan Thompson.

Still even at one-goal-a-piece in the second half, both teams continued to attack the goal with ferocity. Madison College eventually broke through for the game winner in the 82'. Second year midfielder Lexi Kulow send a pass to Foye, and the Poynette, Wisconsin, native punched in her second goal of the night, equaling a feat she accomplished in the 2020 Region 4 Championship (played in Spring 2021) against Elgin Community College. Foye has amassed 11 career goals.

Harper College produced more shots in the match, creating a 15-11 lead in total shots and an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal. Thompson, a freshman from New Glarus, Wisconsin, made ten saves for her second-highest single-match total this season.

Foye and Kulow each finished with three total shots, with Foye being the only player to fire off two shots on goal.
