Olivia Marron put together a career-best double-double Saturday, however, it was not enough as the Madison College women's basketball team lost 100-59 to Region 4 opponent Waubonsee Community College inside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymasium. The Chiefs became the second consecutive team to reach the century mark against the WolfPack, who still own a 10-4 record in the all-time series. The matchup was part of a full day of basketball games, awards, and performances Madison College hosted for

Just days after a rough loss against a ranked Division II team, Madison College seemed poised for an improved performance. Despite falling behind 9-2, the WolfPack fought hard and closed the gap to a single possession when
Taylor Ripp's jumper in the paint made it a 13-10 deficit. Waubonsee Community College (12-3) responded with an 18-5 run to close out the quarter. Madison College, playing it's second game with just five available players, went on to loss each quarter, however, the home team kept the differential in each period to ten or fewer points. A 10-2 run in the second quarter brought the 'Pack within 41-25, and a Marron bucket before halftime sent the team's into break separated by 22 points. Madison College closed to within 20 midway through the third before the Chiefs pulled away with an 11-0 surge.
Marron, a two-sport athlete for the WolfPack and a native of La Farge, Wisconsin, generated a career-best 26 points and matched a career-high with a dozen rebounds for her second double-double in the last three games played. The 5'10" forward was 12 of 17 from the floor and converted 2 of 8 free throws.
Freshman
Taylor Ripp posted 14 points on 5 of 13 shooting with four free throws. The Lodi, Wisconsin, native also had four boards and two assists.
Brianna Hendricks finished with eight points and nine rebounds, while also leading the team with five assists and three steals.
Madison College won the battle on the boards by a 50-43 count, and narrowly trailed the Chiefs in points in the paint, 46-42.
