GLEN ELLYN, ILL. - Wednesday's women's soccer match at the College of DuPage started off on the right foot for Madison College, however, four straight goals by the host Chaparrals went unanswered in a 4-1 setback. The WolfPack has lost back-to-back matches for the first time this season, and also saw an eight match win streak over COD come to a close. The all-time series now stands at 10-6-1 in favor of the Chaps.
Madison College seemed to be on the right track as sophomore
Amelia Clarquist sent a pass that set up freshman midfielder
Alexis Kulow for an 11' goal. Kulow, a DeForest, Wisconsin, native, tallied her fifth goal of the year, while Clarquist, a midfielder from Janesville, Wisconsin, now boasts a pair of assists.
The College of DuPage (3-5) netted the game-tying goal in the 24' and the match remained 1-1 through halftime. The Chaparrals then controlled the rest of the match, scoring three more times in the second half thanks to a 5-1 advantage in shots on goal. In the end, the College of DuPage produced a 22-6 edge in total shots and a 12-5 lead in shots on goal.
Second year goalkeeper
Marin Stauffacher was credited with eight saves and four goals allowed. Kulow led the team with three total shots and two shots on goal.

Madison College (4-3-1) continues a three-match road swing on Saturday, October 2 at Region 4 opponent Illinois Valley Community College (0-6). The WolfPack crushed the Eagles 12-0 back on September 8 to extand an all-time series win streak to eight matches. Kickoff in La Salle, Illinois, is at noon.
