WolfPack sending 12 (& counting) to next level to continue playing careers

Group includes representatives from four Madison College teams

Another group of standout Madison College student-athletes are taking their skills to the next level after 11 (and counting) signed national letters of intent to continue their athletic endeavors at a four-year institution. The commitments represent four WolfPack programs, and include schools that compete in NCAA Division I (5), NCAA Division II (4), NCAA Division III (2), and NAIA (1).

Baseball (Alumni List)

Nathan Ebersole (Whitefish Bay, WI) - NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee (Milwaukee, WI)

"Nathan is a hard worker on the field and academically. He has the defensive ability and arm strength to play any of the positions on the infield. Due to injury, Nathan was not cleared to play last spring until a few weeks into our season. It took him a little longer to get going offensively, but he showed up to the field everyday ready to go, and because he is willing to fight through adversity, he got it going and found his way into the line up at tournament time." -Coach Mike Davenport

Maguire Fitzgerald (Fennimore, WI) - NAIA Clarke University (Dubuque, IA)

"Maguire is another infielder with the ability to play all spots because of his arm strength and glove. He is a tireless worker and great student. Maguire showed up to the field everyday with a great mentality to improve and he saw great growth in his game in all aspects. Clarke University is getting a talented player and tremendous teammate." -Coach Mike Davenport

Ryan Hubley (Wauwatosa, WI) - NCAA Division II Univ. of Missouri-St. Louis (St. Louis, MO)

"Ryan is a very solid all-around player, a great student, and will be valuable to UMSL the same way he was for the WolfPack. He has the ability to play first base, outfield and get innings on the mound, as well. As a left-handed hitter with a lot of jump in his bat, it sounds like his new home field will cater to his offensive strengths. Aside from his baseball abilities, Hubs is also a great teammate." -Coach Mike Davenport

Reagan Klawiter (Verona, WI) - NCAA Division I Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, IL)

"Reagan definitely ended up as our most valuable pitcher last year. He was a mainstay in the starting rotation for us and as a transfer, made huge gains as pitcher in his one season in our program. Reagan fits the mentality of guys that do well at crunch time, because he attacks the strike zone with all of his pitches. His competitiveness and ability will serve him well as he battles for an important role on the pitching staff at NIU." -Coach Mike Davenport

Kameron Laskowski (Sussex, WI) - NCAA Division II Univ. of Missouri-St. Louis (St. Louis, MO)

"Kameron's growth as a player in his two years at Madison was as much as any player I've coached. He was invaluable behind the plate for us in both how he played and how he handled our pitching staff. Kam saved us many runs because of his ability to block balls in the dirt. Offensively, he hardly ever gives up an at-bat and is a very tough out. I know UMSL fits Kam well academically and they are getting a good one on the field and in the dugout." -Coach Mike Davenport

Logan Mantz (Slinger, WI) - NCAA Division II Univ. of Missouri-St. Louis (St. Louis, MO)

"Logan is an extremely talented player and was a huge key to our run to, and at, the national tournament. He struggled early trying to do too much and then had a setback with an injury, but he was hot offensively as soon as he returned and provided us with another consistent bat in the the middle of our order. Logan has a big arm, which will give him a chance to play 3rd base. However, he has turned himself into a very good first baseman in a short time at that position, as well." -Coach Mike Davenport

Jack McNeil (Crystal Lake, IL) - NCAA Division I Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, IL)

"Jack was a very valuable piece to our pitching staff. He ended up with an important role for us out the bullpen and pitched with confidence whenever he was given the ball. Jack's story is great one because he played college football for a year and then transferred to Madison College, where he made our team as a walk-on. He really had not played baseball for a few years due to an injury in high school and is just scratching the surface of his abilities. Jack is a competitor and I am looking forward to seeing him continue to develop at NIU." -Coach Mike Davenport

Alex Redman (New Berlin, WI) - NCAA Division III UW-La Crosse (La Crosse, WI)

"Alex had a great season for us and was another pitcher that provided us with stability in our starting rotation. The improvement of his pitches, but more importantly, the improvement of his mentality from freshman to sophomore year was his key to success. Alex made big pitches at big times throughout the entire season, including tournament time. His ability to throw any pitch at any time should give him a great chance to be in UW-L's starting rotation." -Coach Mike Davenport

Golf (Alumni List)

Ryan Beck (Waunakee, WI) - NCAA Division III Edgewood College (Madison, WI)

"Ryan is a passionate and dedicated golfer who is starting to really find his game. We're thankful for all he did during his time with the WolfPack and know he'll have a tremendous career with the Eagles! Plus, we'll get to see him and play against him at numerous tournaments, so it will be great to stay in touch with him and his family." -Coach Glenn Eichstedt

Softball (Alumni List)

Katie Joten (Little Chute, WI) - NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay (Green Bay, WI)

"Katie will compete for a starting spot in the infield. We're excited for her to get this opportunity with the Phoenix and believe this will be a perfect fit for both." -Coach Leo Kalinowski

Megan Miklesh (Plover, WI) - NCAA Division I Creighton University (Omaha, NE)

"Megan has worked extremely hard to get an opportunity like this and I know whe will take advantage of it. She should compete for starting role in the Bluejays infield." -Coach Leo Kalinowski

Women's Volleyball (Alumni List)

Kaitlyn Sharkey (Lodi, WI) - NCAA Division II Post University (Waterbury, CT)

"After one season with the WolfPack, Sharkey will be continuing her volleyball career at Post University while enrolling in their equine science program. Sharkey is a skilled all-around player capable of contributing as a defender and as an offensive threat." -Coach Quinn Lukens

*Several additional Madison College student-athletes may still announce a decision to continue playing at a four-year institution in the coming weeks.
