MADISON, WISC. - The Madison College women's soccer team was unable to score a goal for the second straight match, resulting in a 5-0 loss to Region 4 foe Bryant & Stratton College in the home opener Wednesday at
Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Pitch-East. The visiting Bobcats have now defeated the WolfPack in the two meetings since they began playing in 2019.
Bryant & Stratton College (2-2) grabbed an early lead with an assisted goal in the 5', and added another score 14 minutes later. They we able to tack on one more prior to the end of the half with a 35' goal to make it 3-0. Two more goals in the second half completely put the match out of reach.
Madison College was only able to generate five shots on goal, while the Bobcats put pressure on the WolfPack defense with 19 shots on goal. Freshmen
Monica Tapia-Gutierrez and
Angelina Perez, former teammates at Madison East HS, each posted two shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Marin Stauffacher collected 14 saves.

Madison College (1-2, 0-0) will begin North Central Community College Conference play on Friday, April 16 when they host Rock Valley College (0-0, 0-0). The WolfPack and Golden Eagles are the only two women's soccer programs competing in the N4C this season.
