MADISON, WISC. - Tuesday night's men's basketball game between Madison College and UW-Richland was a tightly contested struggle decided in the final minutes, and ended with the home team earning an 84-81 victory inside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium. The win featured a career-best 25 points from freshman
Keith Hoffman and saw the WolfPack generate nine-consecutive points in the final four minutes to turn a deficit into a lead en route to their 52nd win over the Roadrunners in 84 all-time meetings.
Madison College led the entirety of the first half and was able to generate a 28-15 lead thanks to a 13-2 run. As the clock moved inside of six minutes, the Roadrunners gained momentum and outscored the 'Pack 19-8 to pull within two at the half. The first four minutes of the second half featured three lead changes and two ties before the Roadrunners used five consecutive three-pointers to go out in front. The lead grew to as much as seven points and lasted until the six-minute mark when the WolfPack pulled even at 73-73 on a triple by freshman
Jeremiah Guevarra. After UW-Richland went back up by three with 4:29 to play, Madison College rattled off a 9-0 push that included five points by Hoffman. The run not only put the home team in front, but also provided some breathing room to earn the three-point win.
Hoffman tallied his second double-double of the season as he finished with career-high's of 25 points and 11 rebounds. The 6'8" forward was 10 for 17 shooting the basketball and made 5 of 7 free throws. His rebound total included six offensive rebounds, and went along with a team-leading four assists, two steals, and a block. Sophomore
Malcolm Reed finished 5 for 9 to reach ten points as the only other double-digit scorer. The former Barneveld HS athlete added five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one rejection. Nine other WolfPack players scored in the game, including a nine-point performance from
Telin Porter.
The WolfPack boast a 46-28 lead in total rebounds and a significant 19-3 edge in second chance points, as well as a 46-26 advantage in points in the paint.

Madison College (7-4) has a quick turnaround traveling to Dubuque, Iowa, on Wednesday, December 8 to play the Loras College JV. The WolfPack is 2-0 all-time against the Duhawks. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. for a game that was originally scheduled for Thursday in Madison.
