MADISON, WISC. - A four-game winning streak ended Saturday inside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium when the Madison College men's basketball team lost 81-76 in overtime to Region 4 foe Carl Sandburg College. The WolfPack had three players score in double-figures in the losing effort. The win for the Chargers improves their lead in the all-time series to 4-0.
Madison College opened strong and built a 33-26 advantage at the half, however, Carl Sandburg College (6-2) flipped the script in the second half and outscored the home team by a 44-37 tally to even the game at 70-70. Heading to overtime for the first time this season, the WolfPack were unable to seize momentum and saw the Chargers claim an 11-6 scoring edge in the extra five minutes.
Freshman forward
Keith Hoffman dropped in 19 points by making two 3-pointers as part of a 7 for 13 shooting day from the field, as well as a 3 for 5 effort at the free throw line. The Stevens Point, Wisconsin, native grabbed nine rebounds for the third consecutive game to narrowly miss his second career double-double.

Nik Feller, who continued his hot shooting stretch with four triples en route to tying his career-high with 18 points. The native of Poynette, Wisconsin, has scored in double-digits in four consecutive games and has a team-leading 15 three-pointers on the season. Also in double-figures with 11 points on 5 of 11 shooting from the field was sophomore
Malcolm Reed.
Ma'Teo Holland, a sophomore from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, set a career-high with six assists, while also leading the team with three steals.
The WolfPack converted 10 of 28 (35%) shots outside the arc to match their season-high from long range. They also made 29 of 70 (41%) from the field and 8 of 14 (57%) at the charity stripe. The home team's six blocked shots established a new defensive high-point for the young season.
