MADISON, WISC. - Other than a few moments in the second and third sets when the Madison College women's volleyball team found themselves down on the scoreboard, Tuesday's North Central Community College Conference match against Triton College went about how the home team wanted. The WolfPack picked up set wins of 25-12, 25-16, and 25-19 to sweep the Trojans (5-12, 0-5) by a 3-0 final for their 22-straight win in the head-to-head series. The lopsided win also pushed the team's current win streak to six matches and 18 consecutive sets.
Six different players recorded multiple kills in the match, led by sophomore
Cathleen Flannery with nine. Freshman
Calla Borchert added eight kills, while
Sidni Walgurski and
Olivia Marron posted four each. Second year opposite
Isabella Carrillo matched a season-high with three kills. Walgurski, a former Bay Port High School athlete, was the most efficient hitter with a .667 attack percentage, however, four players all fielded percentages at .250 or higher. The six-foot middle blocker also had a team-high two blocks.
The trio of freshmen setters saw
Lena La Fleur finish with nine assists, and
Skyler Salter and
Kaleia Lawrence each collect seven. Salter, a native of Milton, Wisconsin, also had a team- and career-high three aces.
Libero
Amelia Walton, a first year player from Verona Area High School, registered a team-best 14 digs despite switching to outside hitter for the final set.
As a team, the WolfPack had a 30 to 21 advantage in kills, with the home team earning a .256 attack percentage. The 'Pack also put together eight aces, five blocks, 27 assists, and 40 digs.Â

Madison College (10-12, 5-1) will play away from Madison in three of the next four matches, starting Thursday, September 26 at in-state foe Bryant & Stratton College (13-7). A
3-0 sweep of the Bobcats on September 10 kick-started the team's win streak, and gave the 'Pack a 2-0 edge in the all-time series. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. at
Center Court in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
