WAUKESHA, WISC. - The wave of momentum the Madison College women's volleyball team had built up over six straight wins came crashing down Thursday with a 3-0 road loss at in-state foe Bryant & Stratton College. The Bobcats, who had never beaten the WolfPack in two prior meetings, used set wins of 25-19, 25-18, and 26-24 to extend their own win streak to seven matches. The 'Pack also saw a consecutive sets won streak end at 18 in a row after starting the streak with a
three-set sweep of Bryant & Stratton College on September 10.
For the match, Madison College tallies 26 kills, three aces, six blocks, 21 assists, and 39 digs.
Sophomore outside hitter
Cathleen Flannery paced the WolfPack with nine kills on a team-high 21 attack attempts. Middle blocker
Calla Borchert was second in kills with five, but led the visitors with a .571 attack percentage.
First year setter
Lena La Fleur picked up ten assists, while fellow freshman setters
Skyler Salter and
Kaleia Lawrence added six and four assists, respectively.
Defensively, middle blockers
Sidni Walgurski and Borchert each had three blocks, and freshman defensive specialist
Jaidyn Lange tracked down a team-high nine digs. Flannery and
Amelia Walton each had seven digs.

Madison College (10-13, 5-1) starts the second half of the North Central Community College Conference season on Tuesday, October 1 with a road rematch against league frontrunner Harper College (13-12, 6-0). The Hawks beat the WolfPack
3-0 in the N4C opener in Madison to pick up their third straight win in the head-to-head series, which stands at 18-17 in favor of Harper College. The 'Pack trails the Hawks by a game in the conference standings. First serve in Palatine, Illinois, is at 6:00 p.m.
