MILWAUKEE, WISC. - Thursday night's 3-0 win over North Central Community College Conference rival Milwaukee Area Technical College gives the Madison College women's volleyball team consecutive victories for the first time in the 2019 season. The WolfPack defeated the Stormers 25-16, 25-21, and 25-14 for their 34th straight defeat of their in-state foe, which came in the 120th all-time meeting between the two programs.
Madison College came out firing on all cylinders, and racked up 13 kills and a .367 attack percentage in the opening set. They finished the match with 32 kills, a .292 hitting efficiency, seven aces, six blocks, 25 assists, and 61 digs.
Freshman
Sidni Walgurski controlled the play at the net with a game-high eight kills and three blocks. The 6'0" from Suamico, Wisconsin, registered a .429 hit percentage. Second year
Cathleen Flannery tallied seven kills, while freshman
Calla Borchert had six kills, three blocks, and a .455 efficiency.
Setter
Lena La Fleur provided a team-best 11 assists, with fellow first year setter
Skyler Salter adding seven assists and a pair of kills.
Amelia Walton, a 5'6" defensive specialist/outside hitter, enjoyed a productive night with a team-leading 14 digs and a career-high-tying four aces. The Madison, Wisconsin, native now boasts six games with ten or more digs. Flannery, a transfer from Alverno College, returned to Reinman Gymnasium and posted her third double-digit digs effort with 11.

Madison College (6-12, 2-1) will enjoy it's first weekend off since the season began before returning to the road for a N4C clash with Joliet Junior College (6-7, 2-1) on Tuesday, September 17. The WolfPack currently own a 16-match win streak over the Wolves going back to 2011, and are 21-2 all-time against JJC. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
