MADISON, WISC. - The Madison College women's basketball team ended the regular season with back-to-back wins after defeating in-state rival Milwaukee Area Technical College 78-49 on Saturday at
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium. The victory gives the WolfPack a 19-7 mark on the season and a 10-4 record in the North Central Community College Conference, placing them in a three-way tie for second after securing its second consecutive ten-win season in N4C play. The 'Pack honored

Madison College raced out to an 11-4 lead and ended the first quarter with a 9-0 run to take a double-digit advantage into the second quarter. That run continued with two more baskets to start the quarter, which saw the home team slowly build a 34-19 edge at the break. The third quarter proved to be the most lopsided of the day with the 'Pack putting together a 22-2 surge for a 34-point lead against Milwaukee Area Technical College (7-21, 4-10). The differential maxed out at 37 points early in the fourth before securing a third straight win over the Stormers and a 73-13 all-time lead against their most played rival.
Freshman guard
Aniah Williams registered her fourth consecutive game with at least 20 points, scoring 26 points on 9 of 23 shooting that included four makes from three-point territory. The native of Beloit, Wisconsin, also had six rebounds and four assists as she finishes the regular season with a team-high 585 points and a 22.5 points per game average, to go along with 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.9 assists.
Lee, a native of Madison, Wisconsin, and a transfer from Sauk Valley Community College, scored her season average of 22.8 points per game with 22 points on 9 of 20 shooting and 4 for 4 tally at the charity stripe. Lee's 11 rebounds led the 'Pack and give her five double-doubles in 13 games played. The 5'8" guard also had a team-leading eight assists and finishes the regular season with season averages of 9.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 4.3 steals.
The final double-digit scorer was Gilbertson, who pushed through 11 points and secured eight boards. The native of Platteville, Wisconsin, averaged 7.0 points and 6.7 rebounds for the year, but saw those numbers jump to 8.7 points and 7.9 against N4C opponents.
First year forward
Mary Raemisch reached ten rebounds for the four time in seven games, to go along with six points.
The WolfPack owned a 46-18 lead in points in the paint and a 26-9 edge in points off turnovers to take advantage of 24 MATC-Milwaukee miscues.

The 2019 NJCAA Region IV Division III Women's Basketball Tournament will begin this week, and Madison College was awarded the #2 seed. As a result, the WolfPack have earned a bye past the quarterfinal round and will begin postseason play against #3 seed Elgin Community College (22-8). The teams met in Elgin, Illinois, on December 1, with the 'Pack earning a
66-59 victory. The semifinal contest will be played on Saturday, February 23 at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois, and will mark the first postseason matchup between the two programs. Tip off is set for 2:00 p.m.
