MADISON, WISC. - The Madison College women's basketball team thoroughly dominated the first twenty minutes of Saturday's Region IV matchup with Elgin Community College at
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium, eventually claiming a lopsided 68-29 win. The largest margin of victory so far this season saw 11 different players score for the WolfPack, who are now 6-2 all-time against the Spartans.
After scoring the game's first eight points, Madison College then registered ten straight points to own a decisive 18-1 lead after the first quarter. The next ten minutes didn't get much better for Elgin Community College (2-5) as they fell behind 31-4 before closing the half with a 5-0 run to make it a 20-point game. The differential remained in the low 20's throughout the third quarter before a 19-2 run for the WolfPack in the fourth quarter pushed the advantage to a game-high 41 points.
Two Madison College players scored in double-figures to lead the balanced attack. Sophomore forward
Lilly Dorman pumped in 5 of 7 shots from the field and all three free throws to reach 13 points. The former Madison East High School athlete has scored in double-digits in two of the last three games. Second year guard
Aniah Williams tallied 11 points on 4 of 14 shooting with a pair of three-pointers, to go along with five rebounds, a season-high four assists, and three steals.Â

Kylie Esser came off the bench to set career-bests with five points and nine rebounds. Freshman
Kyianna Baker and sophomore Jayla Connor added eight points each.
Madison College surpassed 50 rebounds for the second time this season and bested the Spartans on the glass by a 52-29 margin, with the home team getting their hands on 23 offensive boards that led to an 8-2 edge in second chance scoring. The WolfPack also forced 32 turnovers and committed 23 miscues, lending to a 29-10 lead in points off turnovers. The 'Pack bested Elgin in points in the paint by a 30-14 count.

Madison College (5-3) finishes out the month of November on Saturday with a trip to NJCAA Division I Malcolm X College (4-0) in Chicago, Illinois. The meeting will be the third ever between the two programs, who split a home-and-home series during the 1988-89 season. Game time is at 1:00 p.m.
