Season's second best attack percentage leads Madison College to 8th N4C win

RIVER GROVE, ILL. - For the eighth straight year, the Madison College women's volleyball team reached the eight win mark in North Central Community College Conference play after sweeping Thursday's regular season finale at Triton College by a 3-0 final. The WolfPack, who won four of their last five matches heading into the postseason, used set wins of 25-21, 25-10, and 25-14 to improve their match win streak over the Trojans to 23 in a row, while also pushing their streak of consecutive sets won in the head-to-head series to 69. Madison College finishes the regular season with a 14-16 record overall, and tied for second in the N4C at 8-4.

The WolfPack offense was clicking on all cylinders with double-digit kills in all three sets, along with attack percentages of .250 or better. Overall, the visitors tallied 33 kills and posted their second best single-match hitting efficiency of the season at .333. Madison College also boasted ten aces for the fifth time this fall, four blocks, 26 assists, and 41 digs.

The native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, hammered ten kills on a .409 attack percentage, served up a career-best five aces, and collected seven digs.

Freshman middle blocker Sidni Walgurski was second in kills with six, but paced the team with a .500 percentage. The six-footer who also hails from Green Bay, had a career-high three aces after entering the match with just one on the season. Front row players Olivia Marron and Samantha Kessenich both had five kills and two block assists. Marron, a former La Farge High School athlete, matched Flannery with seven digs. Sophomore libero Sage Esser added six digs, with Kessenich and Jaidyn Lange right behind with five.
