MADISON, WISC. - The Monday, April 23 doubleheader at

The WolfPack would win both games, picking up a 13-11 decision in the opener before rallying with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk-off with a 13-12 win. The wins extend the overall advantage in the all-time series to an impressive 24-4-1 record.

Game #2: Madison College 13, Harper College 12 (7 innings)
A new game, but the same story played out in game two as the hits and runs continued to add up. Madison College (20-12, 6-2) took the lead with a five-run second inning, but would find themselves down again by the fifth. After trading the advantage for a couple frames, the College of DuPage (23-15) went ahead 12-11 with two runs in the top of the seventh. In the home half, freshman
Jerry LaSaint drew a one-out walk and made his way around the bases via two wild pitches and a passed ball to tie the game at 12. Back-to-back bases on balls put runners on first and second with two outs for sophomore
Tanner Umentum, and the sophomore from Denmark, Wisconsin, came through with a clutch single to center that allowed
Chase Scharnek to race in from second for the game-winning run.
Madison East product
Cam Cratic posted a 3 for 5 effort with two runs scored and one batted. Three other players enjoyed multi-hit games and four others also scored twice. That group included LaSaint, a Frisco, Texas, native, who finished with a triple, two walks, three RBI, and two runs scored. In the series, he went 3 for 6 and reached base five times, drove in six runs, and scored four times.
Once again coach
Mike Davenport turned to three different arms to get through the offensive onslaught, starting with
Connor Fedders. The sophomore from Union Grove HS surrendered six earned runs on eight hits and three walks in his three innings on the bump.
Jonathan Dominguez took over for two frames and did not allow a hit, but did give up two earned runs as a result of seven free passes to first base. Sophomore
Chase Scharnek (1-0) entered for the second time this season and worked the final two innings for his first career win. The Waukesha, Wisconsin, native faced nine batters and allowed three runs, one of which was earned, on two hits and struck out one.
