MADISON, WISC. - Nine days after suffering a narrow five-set loss to NAIA Clarke University (IA) JV, the Madison College women's volleyball team got revenge with a 3-0 sweep of the Pride inside
H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium. The
#10-ranked WolfPack had to earn each and every set win with the final two sets coming down to just two points before the 'Pack finished it off, 25-21, 28-26, 25-23. Madison is now 11-1 all-time against Clarke.
The WolfPack displayed a consistent hitting attack, posting between 11 and 14 kills per set and attack percentages between .149 and .179. Overall, the home team finished with 37 kills and a .167 hitting efficiency, to go along with seven aces, one block, and 63 digs.
Three players registered double-doubles in the match. Second year setter
Olivia Darkow tallied 34 of the team's 37 assists and had ten digs for her fifth double-double of the season, with all five coming in the last seven matches. Fellow sophomore
Paige Hostetler's fourth double-double and seventh in the last eight matches included a team-best 16 kills
(SEE NOTE BELOW) and ten digs. The outside hitter swung for a .163 percentage. Freshman
Tianna Sackett was the third double-double, with ten kills off a team-high .216 clip and 11 digs. It's her first double-double since the season opener on August 23.
Isabella Carrillo, a freshman from Maranatha Baptist Academy, smashed nine kills with a .148 attack percentage.
Maddie Scalissi, a second year libero, ended the night with a team-best 16 digs and three aces.

Madison College (14-8, 6-1) rides a four-match win streak into Tuesday's match at Triton College (2-12, 0-7). The two teams have yet to play each other this season after the Trojans cancelled the September 11 contest in Madison. The WolfPack own a 19-match win streak in the head-to-head series and are trying to keep pace with Rock Valley College and Harper College in the North Central Community College Conference standings.

Madison College Athletics failed to recognize that during the match with Clarke University JV, sophomore
Paige Hostetler became the all-time kills leader in WolfPack women's volleyball history. Hostetler entered the match with 606 kills and surpassed the previous record of 616 set by
TeAnn Harms during the final match of the 2016 season. The department would like to congratulate Paige on such an outstanding achievement!
