MADISON, WISC. - Madison College Women's Volleyball earned their twentieth win of the season on Thursday night when they beat conference opponent, Rock Valley College, in four games. The win came exactly one week after the WolfPack suffered only their second loss of the season against Harper College.
Ready to get back to their winning ways the WolfPack jumped out to a commanding 2-0 lead after winning the first two sets, 25-13 and 25-19. The Golden Eagles did not want to go easily and rallied back in the third set to win 25-18 as the 'Pack made some timely unforced errors.
In the fourth set, Madison College tried to put the third set behind them and finished strong handing the visiting Golden Eagles a 25-19 fourth set loss. The match win was the twelfth consecutive victory over Rock Valley, who has not beat Madison College since the 2011 season.
Andrea Bauer,
TeAnn Harms, and
Natasha Swiggum each had 11 kills to lead the WolfPack. TeAnn Harms and Natasha Swiggum also combined for 11 blocks with Harms posting six and Swiggum recording five.
Taylor Genthe had 37 assists, while
Andrea Bauer and
Kaitlin Mooney posted 19 digs and 17 digs, respectively.Â
The WolfPack's seven game home stand will come to an end when they play North Central Community College Conference (N4C) opponent, College of DuPage, on Tuesday night at the H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium at 6:00 p.m. The match will be broadcast live online on
