Madison College traveled to Kenosha, WI, on Thursday night, to play a non-conference game against Carthage College JV. With the game tied at 1-1 after two sets the WolfPack rallied to win 3-1 as second year outside hitter,
TeAnn Harms, led her team with a game-high 17 kills.
The 'Pack came out swinging, winning the first game 25-17 with a .310 hitting percentage. The host Torchie's won game two, 25-19, to tie the game at 1-1. In game three, the WolfPack struggled hitting the ball, committing nine errors but managed a 25-21 win. Up two games to one, Madison College had their best hitting game of the match posting 14 kills, committing just two errors in 35 attempts for a .343 hitting percentage.
TeAnn Harms accounted for 17 of Madison College's 53 kills.
Megan Corcoran also recorded double-digit kills with 12 to compliment Harms. Former River Valley High School standout,
Taylor Genthe, had 43 assists and two aces to lead her team in those categories.
Keifer Zimmerman and
Kaitlin Mooney each posted more than 20 digs with 28 and 23, respectively while teammate Natsha Swiggum contributed with a game-high two blocks.
After their third straight win the WolfPack get back in action with conference opponent, Joliet Junior College, in Joliet, IL, next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The 'Pack will have four conference games before finishing up with McHenry County College to end their regular season schedule.
