The Madison College men's soccer team just couldn't put the ball in the net as they lost to the Harper College Hawks in their N4C conference opener on September 2 in Palatine, IL. Harper raced out to an early 2-0 lead after the first period before the Madison defense was able to quiet the home team for most of the second frame. With less than three minutes left, Harper scored their final goal to go up 3-0 and take home the win over the visiting WolfPack. The 'Pack took more shots (19 to 11), but Harper hit home just as often as both teams had 10 shots on goal. John Arendt played a solid game in goal and recorded seven saves in 90 minutes.
 
The 1-2-1 WolfPack's next game is another N4C affair, but this time it is home. Madison home opener in N4C play is on September 4 at 4:00 PM.
