The Madison College baseball team just keeps on winning, as swept a N4C doubleheader over the MATC-Milwaukee Stormers 11-1 and 5-1 on April 7. The WolfPack outscored the Stomers 16-2 in the two games and rattled of their 11th straight win, including eight N4C conference wins in a row. The Madison College baseball team is now 14-8 overall and 8-0 in the N4C.

The WolfPack made game one a no-doubter, scoring three runs in the first, five in the second, and one in the third for the 9-0 lead. The MATC Stomers got on the board with a run in the top of the fifth, and that was it for their offense. Madison College did score two more runs after MATC's one run outburst and rolled to the 11-1 win.

Madison used nine hits and was helped by three MATC-Milwaukee throwing errors in scoring their 11 runs.
Courtney Watkins,
Tony Butler,
Travis Hamilton, and
Liam Kellogg all paced the team with two hits apiece, and
Luke Yapp led the team with four RBI. Yapp, Butler, and Watkins all scored two runs. Out of the nine WolfPack hits, five went for extra bases. Watkins, Hamilton, and Kellogg all doubled, Hamilton also tripled, and Yapp added a homerun. Watkins also added a steal, as did
Nick Kanavas.
Tony Butler led the team with two steals.
Derek Heffel starter the game and threw 5.2 innings and improved to 3-0 with the win. He also struckout seven and only allowed one run in his efficient start.
Brandon Parr finished the game and tossed the final third of an inning.

The outcome proved the same as the WolfPack won game two 5-1, but the 'Pack didn't score nearly as much. They actually outhit themselves 11-to-9 compared to last game, but only plated five runs.

Mike Jordahl,
Matt Cole, and
Mike Aiello all recorded two hits in the game, and accounted for right of the 'Pack's hits, all singles. The WolfPack didn't have any extra base hits, only had four RBI on their five runs, and only Gibis scored more than one run. Cole recorded the only stolen base,
Luke Yapp had a sacrifice hit, and
Travis Hamilton drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Starter
Jarod Richter threw a great game and pitched the first 6.2 inning before Gibis recorded the last out. Richter scattered six hits, only allowed one earned run, and struckout five.

The 14-8 WolfPack and winners of eleven straight, travel to take on the Elgin Community College Spartans on April 9. The doubleheader in Elgin, IL starts at 2:00 p.m.
