The Madison College baseball team hosted the Rock Valley College Golden Eagles in a N4C doubleheader, and picked up two more wins after 2-1 and 10-0 victories. The baseball team has won 13 straight, and is undefeated in the N4C with a 10-0 record.

The doubleheader opener didn't feature any scoring until Madison College got on the board on a fifth inning
Tony Butler bunt single. The WolfPack held a 1-0, but Rock Valley fought back and plated a run off of starter Westin Weuthrich to tie the game 1-1. Weuthrich threw a great game, with six innings pitched and five strikeouts, but was replaced by reliever
Ryne Blanton. Blanton pitched the final inning,
Luke Yapp drove in the walkoff run in the bottom of the seventh, and Blanton earned the win to improve to 4-1.

Yapp and
Brandon Gibis finished the day 2-for-3 at the plate, and Butler also recorded two hits in his 2-for-4 day. Yapp and Butler provided the two RBI, and Gibis and
Mike Aiello scored the two runs. The WolfPack offense was limited to eight hits in the pitcher's duel, and Rock Valley could only muster five.

Game two started off in similar fashion for the two teams after Madison College scored an early run in the bottom of the first. The score remained 1-0 in favor of the 'Pack, until Madison scored five runs in the third and three more in the fourth to take the 9-0 lead. Madison College scored one more run in the bottom of the fifth, to end the game after five innings with the 10-0 advantage.Â

Matt Cole led the offense going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run scored and two RBI. He also recorded a double.
Mike Jordahl was the only other player with two hits, as six of the other starters added a hit. Jordahl and
Matt Cole had two RBI,
Brandon Gibis led the team with three runs scored, and
Sam Hurt provided the other double. Hurt and
Luke Yapp both scored twice, and Gibis recorded a steal.
Brandon Parr went the distance in picking up the win from the mound, and faced only 16 batters. He gave up two hits, walked a batter, and struckout one as he improved to 2-1 on the year.
