The Madison College women's basketball team concluded their regular season with convincing 69-45 win over the Harper College Hawks last Saturday in Palatine, IL. The WolfPack were only up two points, 26-24 at the break, but a strong second half turned a close game into a route.

Both teams struggled shooting the ball in the first half, but Madison narrowly outshot the Harper from the field 27 to 25 percent. With a two point lead in tow after the break, the WolfPack sat down the Hawks behind 18-of-36, including 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. The WolfPack defense also limited the Hawks to 26 percent shooting from the floor on their way to outscoring the Hawks 43 to 21 in the 24 point win. The WolfPack finished the regular season with a 21-6 record overall, and an 11-3 record in the N4C. The 11-3 mark in the N4C is good enough for a third place conference finish behind the 12-2 Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers and the 11-2 Rock Valley College Golden Eagles.

Sydney Harms led the way for the WolfPack, just missing out on a double-double with 17 points and eight rebounds. The post player shot 7-of-17 from the field, including 3-of-4 from three point range.
Jenna Endres (14) and
Taylor Nelson (11) also reached double digits in points, combining for 11-for-29 shooting. Nelson also led the team with team with nine rebounds and five steals, while chipping in three assists. Overall, the WolfPack dished out 18 assists as a team and were led by
Lizzy Britt's team high seven.
Kelly Calhoun and
Kaitlyn Kast also joined Nelson by recording three assists each.

The 21-6 and #3 seed WolfPack return to their home court to kick-off the post-season against the Mid Michigan Community College Lakers this Thursday. The February 26 home game starts at 7 p.m.
