The Madison College volleyball team showed why they are ranked #1 in the current NJCAA DIII volleyball poll with a 3-0 defeat of the Lakeland College JV Muskies on Thursday, October 8. The WolfPack took a break from three straight N4C wins, and defeated the Muskies 25-15, 25-13, and 25-22 to earn the non-conference victory. Madison improved to 21-4 overall with their third consecutive three set match win.
 
Allie Lehner and Andrea Bauer led the team with eight and seven kills respectively, and Lehner recorded her eight kills in only 12 attacks to go with two errors for a .500 attack percentage. Taylor Genthe and TeAnn Harms were next up by both adding five kills in the three set win. Brianne Brueggen once again led the team with 27 assists while adding one service age and five digs. Kaitlin Mooney led the team in digs with 12, and Stevie Winer added 10. Bauer and Genthe paced the squad with three block assists apiece, and Lehner and Natasha Swiggum both recorded two. Genthe also recorded a solo block to lead the team with four total blocks, and Lehner also added a solo block to boost her total to three. Genthe got into the statistical action once more by leading the team with two service aces.
 
The 21-4 and 8-1 (N4C) WolfPack have the weekend off before hosting the Triton College Trojans on Tuesday, October 13. The N4C conference game in the H. Douglas Redsten Gym starts at 6:00 PM.
