It's always nice to end a season with the feeling of a win and that's exactly what the Madison College women's soccer team did Wednesday, October 14 in defeating N4C foe Harper College by a goal in Madison. The win puts the WolfPack's final regular season record at 7-6-1 overall and 4-5-1 in league play, good for fourth place in the standings. It also ended a two-game losing streak as the team heads into postseason play.
The lone goal in the match went to first-year player and former Middleton student-athlete
Arianna Viscarra. She converted the unassisted goal less than 15 minutes into the second half for her eighth goal of the season, which is good for second best on the team. Goaltender
Lindsay Hamilton completed another perfect outing, recording her second shutout of the season after denying seven shots on goal and sits five saves shy of 100 for the season. Madison College put two more shots on goal than the Hawks.
The WolfPack will now get set for NJCAA Region IV Tournament play beginning Tuesday, October 20 with a quarterfinal match against Joliet Junior College in Madison. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
