Six Madison College players reached double-figures for points on Wednesday night against Wilbur Wright College. In addition to double-figures in points, freshman guard,
Taylor Nelson, recorded double-figures in three other categories (rebounds, assists, steals) to post the program's first quadruple-double as the WolfPack routed host Wilbur Wright College Rams, 109-46.
Taylor Nelson did a little bit of everything during the team's conference opener in Chicago. Nelson scored 21 points, pulled down 11 rebounds, dished out 10 assists and grabbed 10 steals. The quadruple-double was the first in Madison College women's basketball history. The freshman from Monona Grove currently leads the WolfPack in points (16.1 ppg), assists (4.5 apg), and steals (3.5 spg).
Five other players reached double-figures including
Kelly Calhoun (26 pts.),
Sydney Harms (24 pts.),
Jenna Endres (11 pts.),
Kaitlyn Kast (10 pts.) and
Megan Petty (10 pts.). First year forward,
Megan Petty, also grabbed 11 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season.
The WolfPack opened up a 47 point halftime advantage, 69-22, over the host Rams and cruised to a 109-46 win. With the win, Madison College improved to 8-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Next up for the WolfPack Women is a Saturday matchup against conference foe, College of DuPage, at 1 p.m
