Fresh off of a quadruple-double against Wilbur Wright College,
Taylor Nelson posted a triple-double versus College of DuPage Saturday afternoon. Nelson finished with 21 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, as the WolfPack ran away from the Chaparrals 103-46.
Joining Nelson as double-digit scorers on the night were
Kelly Calhoun (18),
Kaitlyn Kast (18),
Sydney Harms (17) and
Jenna Endres (12). Offensively, Madison College could do no wrong.
For the game, the team shot 55 percent from the field, including 36 percent from beyond the arc, and just shy of 91 percent from the free-throw line. Conversely, their opponent was held to 27 percent from the floor, along with making just 47 percent of their attempts from the charity stripe.
The win was the sixth straight for
Jessica Pelzel's team. Madison College now sits at 9-3 overall, including a 2-0 mark in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play.
Up next, the WolfPack will host UW-Marathon County at 5:30 p.m. Monday. They'll follow that game up with a Wednesday night affair against fourth-ranked Rock Valley College at 5:30 p.m.
