Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

WolfPack women's soccer team rolling

It may have taken the Madison College women's soccer team a little while to taste victory, in this their inaugural season. Six games to be exact. However, all of a sudden, the WolfPack has rattled off three straight, toppling Moraine Valley Community College 3-2 Sunday.

Against their NJCAA Division I opponent, Tory Pomeroy's team came out looking like they had something to prove. Elizabeth Conejo, Madison College's leading scorer, put the 'Pack on the board in the game's third minute. The WolfPack was far from done though.

Kelly Sullivan, who joined the team earlier in the week, extended the Madison College lead to 2-0, scoring in the 20th minute off an assist from Tynia Goldensoph. Following the Cyclones cutting the WolfPack lead to 2-1, Sullivan would get another goal. Again, it was Goldensoph setting up the freshman from Mount Horeb, with Sullivan scoring the final goal of the first half in the 45th minute.

Taking a 3-1 lead into the halftime break, Madison College would be able to hold on from there. Despite being unable to score in the second half, the 'Pack would go on to pick up the 3-2 victory.

Both teams finished with eight shots on goal. Stephanie Myszkowski finished with six saves in the game for Madison College.

Thanks to their three straight wins, which all came in one week, the WolfPack now sits at 3-4-1 overall, including a 2-3 mark in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play. Wednesday, the team will look for revenge, as they host Rock Valley College at 4 p.m. Earlier this season, the Golden Eagles scored a 3-0 victory over the WolfPack.
