Flawless, look that word up in the dictionary and you'll find it means "having no defects or faults." Following Friday's WolfPack women's soccer game against Joliet Junior College, they may think about adding "
Elizabeth Conejo" as another definition.
In a 5-0 win over the Wolves, Conejo was in on every goal, finishing with a hat-trick and two assists. It was baseball's equivalent of a perfect game.
Madison College started things rolling in the first half. First,
Miho Frankowski found the back of the net in the 22nd minute. Nine minutes later,
Natalie Meyer, who just joined the team earlier this week, got a goal in the 31st minute. Both players were assisted by Conejo, as the WolfPack would take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
Then, Conejo turned up the pressure another notch. The team's lone sophomore netted a hat-trick in the second half, scoring the team's final two goals unassisted. Her tallies came in the 54th, 59th and 86th minute.
Madison College outshot Joliet 32-5 in the game, putting 14 more balls on net than their opponent.
Stephanie Myszkowski saved all three shots she faced for the 'Pack.
For Madison (2-4-1, 2-3), the win is their second straight. Sunday, the team will take their first winning streak to Palos Hills, Illinois, for a matchup against Moraine Valley Community College, an NJCAA Division I team. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
