They've won their two games by a combined two goals, but ask the Madison College men's soccer team if they care. Thanks to a 1-0 victory over Rock Valley College Wednesday, the WolfPack now sits at 2-0 in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play.
Just like he did in the team's win over Triton College,
Tim Kennedy played the role of star. Kennedy registered the game's lone goal in the 15th minute, going in unassisted for the score. The strike from Kennedy was also the team's only shot on goal during the game, but he obviously made it count.
In contrast, the Golden Eagles finished with four shots on net. However,
Thomas Sheahan was there to stop every Rock Valley attempt.
With the win, Madison College improves to 2-3 overall on their young season. Both of the team's next two matches will also be played at their home field, Warner Park, against conference foes Harper College and Joliet Junior College. Their game against Harper is slated for a 4 p.m. kickoff Friday, Sept. 12.
