The Madison College men's soccer team lost their season opener Wednesday night. Playing at Concordia University (Wisconsin), the WolfPack gave up just a single goal in a 1-0 loss.
The lone goal of the game came off a penalty kick for the Falcons. In the 61st minute, Reed Waldhart beat
Thomas Sheahan for what would be the game-winner. Sheahan finished the game with nine saves for Madison College.
During the contest, the 'Pack's defense faired ok, allowing Concordia just four shots on goal. However, the team was whistled for nine fouls on the day.
Madison College will travel to McHenry County College Saturday for a noon game. The team will then host Triton College in their home opener next Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 4 p.m.
