Following a 3-3 start to their season, the Madison College women's basketball team has had a tremendous amount of success. It started with a 27-point win over Rochester Community & Technical College, followed by a 36-point win over Western Technical College, and Friday evening the WolfPack won by 37 over Concordia University (Wisconsin) JV, 76-39.
Defensively, Madison College was on point, forcing 30 Falcons turnovers which resulted in 27 points. Holding their opponent to 26 percent shooting in the first half, the 'Pack would take a 31-22 lead into the halftime break.
Things only got better for Madison College in the second half. Making 42 percent of their shots, while holding Concordia to 23 percent from the floor, the WolfPack would outscore the Falcons 45-17 over the final 20 minutes.
Sophomore
Lizzy Britt led the 'Pack with 12 points and three rebounds.
Taylor Nelson added 11 points, while
Haven Freidig added 10. Madison College outscored their opponent in the paint 34-18.
Tomorrow, the WolfPack travels to College of Lake County for a 1 p.m. tip-off. Madison College will take a three-game winning streak into the contest.
