They just snapped their losing streak, and now the Madison College men's basketball team is hoping to ride that momentum all the way to an upset of fifth-ranked Rock Valley College. The WolfPack will host the Golden Eagles Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Rock Valley may be ranked in the NJCAA's top five, however they've dropped two of their last three. Madison College, on the other hand, is coming off a conference win over Wilbur Wright College. That aside, WolfPack assistant coach
Justin Litscher is expecting a dog fight.
"They're athletic, they're big, they shoot, they're ranked in the top 10 in the country" said Litscher. "They're very good. We're just going to take care of us."
To win, Madison College will need to shoot the ball, well. So far this season, the Golden Eagles average almost 20 points per game more than the WolfPack.
"Inside, and rebounding, is going to be huge," said freshman guard
Shane Kanaman.
Last season, the two teams split, with each team winning on the road. Madison College fell by 10 points at home against Rock Valley College in 2012-13.
