The Madison College women's volleyball team struck again this past Monday, defeating Joliet Junior College in yet another three-game sweep. The following day the WolfPack appeared atop the most recent NJCAA Division III national poll. It is second time Madison College has been in the top spot.
Monday's game was led offensively by Elizabeth Mahsem with 16 kills, Terissa Bierd with two aces, and Hannah Grahn with 34 assists. On the defensive side of things, the WolfPack was well taken care of by Payton Klein with one block and Vanessa Clarson with 15 digs. In the first set, Madison College beat Joliet 25-19. The second set ended with a 25-17 victory by the 'Pack, and the third set topped it all off with another final score of 25-19.
This victory puts Madison College's overall record at 11-2 and their conference mark at 5-0.
The team will play again on Thursday, September 19 when they take on Harper College at 6:00 PM in Palatine, Illinois.
