WolfPack Rout in National Tournament Opener

The #1 seeded Madison College women's volleyball team won their 2013 NJCAA D.III National Tournament opener, Friday morning, with a three-set sweep of the Fashion Institute of Technology (NY).

The WolfPack won the first two games 25-14 before rallying to win the third set 25-15. Madison College was led by the outstanding play of their setter, Hannah Grahn, and some timely, big kills from outside hitter, Terissa Bierd. Grahn had 34 assists and Bierd contributed 11 kills in the win. Monona Grove standout, Danielle Crawford, had two blocks while former Wisconsin Heights player, Vanessa Clarson, was solid in the back row with 26 digs.

The win improves the WolfPack's impressive overall record to 32-3 and more importantly moves the team on to the next game of the national tournament against upset winner, #5 seed, SUNY-Andirondack from Queensbury, NY.
