In their third and final match against Joliet Junior College this season, the Madison College soccer team gave the Wolves their best fight Wednesday. However, opening up postseason play, the WolfPack fell just short in their quest for an upset bid on the road, losing 0-1.
Despite Joliet outshooting Madison College 27-8, neither team could get on the board in the opening frame. That would change in the second half, as Jameison Jamnik would score the game's lone goal in the 68th minute. Bryan Chavez, who came up big against the WolfPack in previous meetings, was credited with the assist.
Madison College goalkeeper
Juan Martinez-Perez made nine saves in the outing. The loss ends the WolfPack's season.
Playing under first-year head coach
Cory Sims, Madison College finished their season with a 5-10 overall mark, 4-4 in conference play.
