WolfPack volleyball wins 14th straight match

The hot streak for the Madison College volleyball team continues. Monday evening, facing a game UW-Whitewater JV squad, the WolfPack picked up a 14th straight victory, sweeping the Warhawks 3-0.

The first set was vintage 'Pack, as they cruised to a 25-12 win. However, the second set was quite a bit different, with Whitewater leading on several occassions before Madison College could pull away for a 29-27 victory. The score was as close as the WolfPack has come to dropping a set at H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium all season long.

After the back-and-forth second set, Madison College would close out the match strong, winning the third set 25-15.

"They demand your best," said WolfPack head coach when speaking about the Warhawks. "The fortunate side to our group this year is we perform when prompted."

Offensively, it was Payton Klein and Hannah Grahn stealing the show for the WolfPack. Klein finishing with eight kills, while Grahn tallied 28 assists.

Defensively, Mikayla Nigl and Vanessa Clarson had three blocks and 18 digs respectively.

Madison College (27-3, 12-0) finishes their home season Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. "This would be my message to the fans, and those that have been great supporters this season, we'd love to see everybody," said Parker. "And bring friends."

The WolfPack are set to host the University of Dubuque JV team.
