The Madison College volleyball team extended their winning streak to three games in the N4C with a three-set match victory over the Joliet Junior College Wolves in Joliet, IL. The WolfPack jumped out big in the first game with a 25-16 victory before holding on for 25-18 and 25-22 wins. The 3-0 conference win improves the 'Packs record to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the N4C. All of Madison' conference wins have been 3-0 affairs.
Kayla Voorhees led the team's offense with 10 kills while
Terissa Bierd was right behind her with nine kills. Voorhees also recorded a service ace and a block assist, and Bierd added three digs and a block assist.
Alexis Semrow registered 28 of the team's 29 assists, and added two service aces and a block assist.
Vanessa Clarson (19 digs) and
Danielle Crawford (1 solo block and 2 block assists) led the WolfPack's defensive effort. Clarson also recorded a team high five service aces, and Crawford added two.
Up next for the WolfPack (9-3, 3-1) is a 6:00 PM home match against conference leading Rock Valley College on September 13 in Madison. The Golden Eagles are 16-0 overall with a 3-0 record in the N4C. They are also ranked second in the latest NJCAA Division III volleyball poll.
