WolfPack Basketball Teams Hoping to Weather the Storm

This Saturday, February 4th the Madison College basketball teams will take to the hardwood at H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium. The WolfPack are set to host in-state rival, Milwaukee Area Technical College. The women's game will tip-off at 1:00 PM, while the men will tip-off at at 3:00 PM.

The Madison College men (6-15, 3-4 ) will have their hands full against MATC-Milwaukee. The Stormers have compiled an 18-5 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in North Central Community College Conference (N4C) play. The WolfPack have been good in the N4C as well though, winning three of their last five conference contests. The two teams met earlier this season, in Milwaukee, and it was the Stormers pulling out the 67-60 victory. Sophomores Tyler Kowalkowski and Garrett Borgrud each scored 18 points apiece. However, The difference proved to be Madison College coming out of the gate extremely slow. The 'Pack scored just 17 points in the opening half after hitting only 5-of-30 shots from the field (16.7%).

The WolfPack women (13-6, 3-1 ) already own a victory over the Stormers this season. Back on January 11th, 2012 Madison College ran past MATC-Milwaukee (1-18, 0-4) 85-54. The 'Pack saw three players score in double-figures in the game. Kinsey Mace led the way with 18 points, while Courtney Spangler added 16 and Tanya Kaufmann 13. Madison College managed to force 33 turnovers in the first meeting, leading to 37 WolfPack points.

Be sure to come out and support both of your WolfPack basketball teams.
