WolfPack Men’s Basketball Tripped up by Cavaliers

Box Score The Madison College men's basketball team held a 38-29 halftime lead before the Cavaliers from Western Technical College outscored the 'Pack by 14 in the second half for the 77-72 comeback win. The WolfPack's biggest lead was 12 points, but Western Tech outshot the WolfPack from three-point range (24-15), and shot a blistering 58.6% from the field in the second half.

Dominic Fumbanks paced the team with 24 points, while chipping in four rebounds, two steals, and a block in the hard fought game that saw two ties and three lead changes. Sheldon Cooks was next in line for the 'Pack with 13 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the 2012-13 season.  Alex Wuensch, whose father coached Western Technical College, also finished in double digits with 10 points, while adding five assists and four steals.

The 1-10 Madison College men's basketball team returns to the court after the Christmas holiday for the December 28 ICC Classic hosted by Illinois Central College. The 'Pack faces the host ICC Cougars at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 28 in East Peoria, IL before wrapping up the two-day tournament with December 29's game in East Peoria against the Oakland Community College Raiders starting at 10:00 AM. The WolfPacks next home game isn't until 2013, when they host the UW-Marathon County Huskies on January 7.
